Helping Individuals Understand Their Mind and Create Lasting Change
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes that lasting change begins in a space where you feel truly seen, accepted, and safe. I use warmth and empathy to create an environment where we can explore the hurt and pain that may be influencing your relationships, your emotions, and your sense of self.
My approach is collaborative. I see therapy as a partnership where we walk the path together, side by side, working as equals to uncover what may be holding you back and to build new ways of connecting and coping. I often draw from an attachment-based perspective to help you understand how past and present relationships shape your patterns of closeness, trust, and conflict.
One of my areas of expertise is ADHD. While many people think of ADHD primarily as a difficulty with focus or motivation, its impact often extends much further into daily life. ADHD can affect organization, emotional regulation, follow-through, communication, and the ability to manage stress effectively.
Over time, these challenges can create tension in relationships, especially when others misunderstand ADHD-related struggles as a lack of effort, care, or responsibility. Many individuals with ADHD also carry years of frustration, criticism, or feelings of falling short of expectations, which can gradually erode self-esteem and self-confidence.
In addition, the ongoing stress and emotional exhaustion that often accompany ADHD can contribute to anxiety, depression, and feelings of shame or hopelessness. My approach focuses not only on managing symptoms, but also on helping clients better understand how ADHD affects their lives, relationships, and sense of self so they can develop healthier patterns, greater self-compassion, and more effective ways of functioning.
I work with clients to better understand how their brain works, recognize the barriers that ADHD can create, and identify the strengths they already possess. Together, we explore practical strategies that build on those strengths to help manage symptoms more effectively, improve daily functioning, and create systems that feel realistic and sustainable for their lives.
